As the school year is coming to a close, I’ve been sensing more and more of a general aura of concern around all of my teachers about my classmates and I this summer. We are going to be seniors next year, and this summer before senior year has them a little worried.

Summer break is a wonderful WONDERFUL thing, but it usually brings up a lot of temptations that we face on a smaller scale during the school year. One of my teachers sent me a list of fun, creative things to do this summer instead of falling into those temptations, and I want to share some of them with you!

  1. Write a love poem on a friend’s driveway in chalk
  2. Giant Nerf War
  3. Host a Minute-to-Win-it Party
  4. Shaving Cream Fight
  5. Campout in your backyard
  6. Put positive notes in people’s windshields at the mall
  7. Sand volleyball
  8. Listen to live music
  9. Learn a line dance
  10. Tie-dye party
  11. Watch the sunrise
  12. Fly kites
  13. Go hiking
  14. Build a fort and sleep in it
  15. Plant a vegetable garden
  16. Bury a time capsule
  17. Drive-in movie
  18. Play board games with residents of a local nursing home
  19. Have a lemonade stand
  20. Frisbee golf
  21. Go fishing
  22. Create a band and host a jam sesh
  23. Finger paint pictures with friends and give it to your moms
  24. Bake sale for a favorite charity
  25. Scrapbook your “fun things” of the summer

I hope your summer is filled with fun, friends, and faith. Please pray for me, and I’ll be praying for you 🙂

Always in love,

Elise Nicole
